Hello and a huge ‘thank you’ for visiting my blog.
I will start by giving you a brief description of my life and why I started this blog. I am 27 years old and work as an Events Coordinator in Cheadle Hulme. I was born in Watford and then moved to Cyprus during my childhood. I then moved back to the UK to study Business Studies at Leeds Met Uni (after a few years of moving around) I have finally settled in Manchester.
During Uni I worked for an Events Representation Company and worked on the Sales and Events for five star venues such as; Mandarin Oriental, The Gleneagles Hotel and Abbey Road Studios. I organised the educational events, sales meetings and event logistics.
During my final year at Uni, I took a huge leap into the unknown by opening a
Vintage Shop in Leeds. I absolutely loved my time with the The Vintage Wardrobe and after one year the shop won the prestigious award of ‘Best Vintage Shop in Leeds’ at the Retail Awards. I was able to use the shop as a platform to exercise my events organising skills with events such as ‘The Boozaar’.
After two successful years at the shop (and being used as the poster girl for Leeds Met Business Studies) I decided to follow my heart back into corporate events.
I now work in a job I absolutely love! I deal with clients to ensure they get an event that is beyond their expectations and within budget. Events can be anything from over night accommodation to VIP ‘once in a life time’ experiences, no two proposals are ever the same.
Friends and family are always asking my advice on venues that I love and proposals that I am working on, so I thought I would write a weekly blog with an insight to the events world.
Enjoy and please feel free to comment!
